Kathleen was born the 7th child in a rural Britton, SD farm family. Having older siblings, she was spared from actually working on the farm. She whiled away her time doing nothing of consequence. She remembers playing Crazy 8's & Old Maid with a sister; climbing trees, watching clouds from the shade on the porch, and visiting the dog in his kennel with the burlap door under that same porch.
She was married at 19, and lost her husband in 2017 after 52 years. She is now 80, a widow, and lives in central WA with her new life partner and their two doodle dogs. She has a married daughter, a grown grandson, and a teenage granddaughter.
