Anna Cannelongo is an experienced educator with a passion for reading and a love for Jesus. For over a decade she worked as a classroom teacher in both Christian and public schools teaching math, language arts, and religion. After a short stint as assistant academic designer for McGraw Hill Education working on a 2nd grade reading textbook, she devoted her time to working as a math education program specialist at the Ohio Department of Education. While there she developed and implemented professional development opportunities for teachers; wrote the Instructional Supports for the Mathematics Model Curriculum; and led the Mathematics High School Math Pathways Initiative (and the Algebra 2 equivalency courses). Her work at the Ohio Department of Education earned her the 2022 Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ Bert K. Waits Friend of Mathematics Award. But most importantly she is a mom to a truck-loving toddler. With Word and Numbers and Ladder and Friends Learn to Pray she is excited to have the freedom to pair her love of curriculum with her passion for discipling others for Christ. She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and son.
