Jinni Winter writes from the edge of a forest under a sky full of stars. For many moons she has worked as a cave guide, telling tales of earth crystals, magical rivers and ancient beasts. She has also worked as media officer for one of Western Australia’s peak conservation organisations, campaigning for the protection of forests in one of Earth’s most spectacular biodiversity hotspots.
Jinni Winter is the literary incarnation of Jinni Wilson, a nature writer specialising in the genres of travel, science and creative nonfiction, published on her website Earth Sea Star.
She holds a BSc in Anthropology (UWA); a BA in Professional writing and publishing (Curtin), and is currently working towards an MA in Creative writing at Macquarie. She lives in Margaret River, in the far southwest of Western Australia.
