AM Foster has always loved stories set in the far reaches of the universe, filled with heroes, villains, and the occasional lovable companion. For years, he meant to write his own, before life intervened with deadlines, responsibilities, and other less cinematic realities.
Now, in his mid-forties, he’s finally telling those stories. They’re a little different than he imagined—less about heroes armed with lasers and telepathy saving civilizations, and more about navigating bureaucratic red tape and surviving team-building exercises.
His writing lives at the intersection of science fiction and corporate reality, where the stakes are existential, the language is procedural, and the outcome is usually decided in a meeting that should have been an email, later summarized in another email that improves nothing, but is widely regarded as progress.
