Leialoha Humpherys writes stories anchored in Hawaii, heritage, and heart. Though she works across genres—from fantasy to reflective nonfiction—every story she tells is shaped by Hawaiian culture, island landscapes, and a deep love for home.
Raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and educated at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Leialoha writes emotionally rich stories filled with resilience, hope, and belonging. She is the author of Aloha State of Mind and other works inspired by ancient Hawaii. Now living in Utah with her husband and children, she carries Hawaii with her—in her writing, her values, and every story she tells.
