Andrew Koval is a novelist based in the Washington, DC area, whose debut, Digital Rapture, explores the intersection of rapid technological expansion and humanity’s messy past and present.
Andrew enjoyed creative writing as a kid, having fond memories of entertaining his seventh-grade class with stories in every Friday morning English class and a 12th grade Creative Writing elective, but then threw away his artistic impulse to be a good worker and get a practical degree and job. He picked up journaling and creative writing as a hobby in the early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic and hasn’t stopped since. Digital Rapture has been written, revised, edited, and published over almost two years and Andrew is very excited for you to join the celebration.
When not writing, Andrew enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with his wife and daughter, their dog, family, and friends. He loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking at the various parks in the Washington area, and in Eastern Appalachia. He enjoys visiting new and familiar events and restaurants in the city and crabbing on tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay.
