Teko Bernard is a children’s author based in the Kansas City Metro. A lifelong basketball and nature enthusiast whose hoop dreams were cut short by injury, Teko pivoted to creativity through writing and graphic design (with over 20+ years creating apparel and marketing graphics for brands like ESPN, X Games, and NCAA). Since 2013, he’s been creating and writing for children, including the HoopKid® series, which inspires kids to love reading, build grit, and discover confidence through basketball-centered stories. His other titles include Bernard Jones Is Going Places and Bronson Beaver Builds a Robot.
