Hi there, I’m M.J. McMuncle.
Thank you for being here – and for choosing to walk with Kori and Scrabs.
This series is rooted in ancient Alba and shaped by Scottish, Irish and Nordic mythology. Where it serves the story, I weave in Scottish Gaelic to carry the weight of place, lineage and memory – not as ornament, but as a living trace of where these lives began, and what they still answer to.
The prose stays close on purpose. It trusts you to notice what’s said – and what’s left unsaid – and to feel the currents moving under the surface when the story turns darker.
If you’d like to continue, this world doesn’t stop here.
We step back into deep time – three hundred thousand years – to where it began with Kori’s mother, Arranah: the Boabhan Sith, the oldest of the Highland Vampires.
Welcome to Alba – and the stories still waiting.
