Mike Ribar has spent much of his life exploring distant places from the rugged landscapes of Alaska to assignments in Papua New Guinea, Canada, and Australia. The people, cultures, and experiences he encountered along the way helped shape his view of the world—and the worlds he creates in his fiction.
Mike’s attraction to science fiction began when, at the age of 7, he came upon the Science Fiction section in the Children’s section of his local library. The adventures that unfolded in those pages led to a lifetime of fascination with extraterrestrial civilizations, space exploration, and scientific advancement.
Mike currently resides with his wife in Washington State, where the beauty of the Pacific Northwest continues to inspire his imagination.
