Stephen Hyde has a love of good old-fashioned storytelling and a fascination with the natural world, particularly birds. His inspiration comes from observing birds in an urban environment and considering the possibility that they have thoughts, feelings and motivations just like humans.
After completing a degree in Creative Writing, where he studied and wrote “serious” literature, Stephen became a dad, and his stories took on a more playful tone.
When Stephen is not writing, he enjoys filling (and refilling) the popular backyard bird bath, playing his upright double bass, and spending quality time with his family.
