Alair's a small-town East Texas transplant now living in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Alair holds a Master’s degree in Criminology with a specialization in Homeland Security and has real-world experience working inside the correctional system. That background informs the gritty realism at the heart of her work, allowing her to write about law enforcement, institutional power, and moral gray areas with an authenticity rarely seen in the genre.
Her novels delve into the beautifully uncomfortable edges of love—where loyalty conflicts with duty, where the system meant to protect can also destroy, and where desire often grows in the shadows. Rather than writing darkness for shock value, Alair explores it with intention, examining the psychological and emotional consequences of loving someone in a world built on rules, control, and consequence.
She currently writes within the Darkwater Correctional Universe, a growing series centered on characters connected to the criminal justice system. Drawing on both academic knowledge and lived experience, Alair crafts emotionally intense stories that ask difficult questions about justice, redemption, and the complicated people caught in between.
