The author of “Godsmacked,” Paul Cicchini, is a practicing nationally-certified school psychologist. He specializes in character education and counseling behavior-challenged students in public schools in New Jersey.
His list of personal accomplishments include sports journalist, adjunct professor of psychology, high school football coach, guidance counselor, independent collegiate football scout, webmaster, and “the oldest semi-pro linebacker in South Jersey history.”
He was inspired to write his novel while convalescing from being, well, godsmacked with kidney stones in the summer of 2009. A combination of major prescription painkillers and exposure to too many badly-coiffed televangelists on daytime cable TV fueled his already robust and over-torqued imagination to yield “Godsmacked,” a work of farcical fiction that is his vehicle for spreading a message of integrity, responsibility, and good character across the country.
