Christopher Louis is a writer and musician whose work examines belief, power, and human dignity, with particular attention to the ethical tension between love and dogma. A retired military veteran, he draws on decades of service to bring a grounded understanding of authority and institutional power to his inquiry into faith. Raised in the American South during the rise of evangelical megachurch culture, he grew up inside religious life and its contradictions, above all the gap between unconditional love and fear-based belief. He is the author of Love Is the Highest Power: The Fall of Awe, the Rule of Fear, and the Return of Love. He lives and works in Connecticut, where his writing and creative projects focus on pathways to peace.
