Shane Tuckey is a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police Staff Sergeant and crime thriller author. During a policing career spanning more than thirty-three years, he worked in organized crime, drug enforcement, undercover operations, national security and terrorism investigations. He also led an integrated intelligence unit targeting organized crime and recruiting confidential human sources.
In 1985, Shane was seconded to the investigation into the bombing of Air India Flight 182. He later served for five years as Canada's Police Liaison Officer and a diplomat at the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi, representing the RCMP across South Asia. During the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks, he was Canada's only police officer on the ground.
After retiring from the RCMP, Shane turned to writing. His debut novel, The North Shore Murders, draws on decades of investigative experience, bringing authentic undercover operations, confidential sources and police procedures to the story.
