Ephraim was raised in the United States. After he obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, the lure of travel and adventure trumped the pressure to settle down and put his nose to the grindstone. His wanderlust itinerary took him from Latin America to the UK and Europe, earning his way as a karate instructor, night club bouncer, pop singer, and recording artist. He has post graduate degrees from the University of Madrid and the University of Paris, where he obtained his PhD in Financial Economics Summa cum Laude. After a few years as a financial forecaster and country risk analyst, Ephraim turned to academia in France as a full professor in Finance. During his academic career, he has authored or co-authored nine books and over one hundred papers in top academic and professional journals. Now he’s writing spy thrillers and, between consulting contracts, spends his time with his wife traveling around Europe. Some things never change.
